Maple Moon Farm is a 40-acre sustainable community farm growing a variety of vegetables and herbs plus pastured chickens and pigs for market. The farm began in 2010.
In their own words, farmers Michael and Amanda's mantra is as follows: "We believe everything is connected and strive to nourish all health, beginning in the soil and radiating out into our community."
Michael and Amanda farm full time, with Maple Moon their exclusive source of income. They sell directly to customers at farmers markets and their farmstand.
They apply organic and biodynamic growing practices and are currently in the process of organic certification. They use hoop houses to grow fresh produce year round in the spirit of eating local every day.
